What we believe

Hello, I am Krysti Emerson, married for 26 years to Steve Emerson. We currently live in Oregon City, Oregon, and have five children ranging in ages from 14 to 23. We have been home schooling for 13 years, our first graduating in 2001. We attend Southgate Chapel in Canby, Oregon.

In 2001 my oldest daughter and I made a trip to Guinea, Africa and helped put on a 3-day event for homeschool missionary families in the area. We had classes, crafts and a Medieval "feast" as a finale. Through this experience, God has given me a heart for missionaries and workers, particularly overseas, who desire to homeschool. This website is an attempt to follow God's leading and help you do the job God has called each of you to. (For more information about planning an event like this, see "event planning" in this website.)

Please feel free to explore this website. I will be adding things of interest when I can. Most of the resources and information you will find here are based on a Christian worldview. Occasionally I will recommend something that is not from a Christian Worldview, but may be a great resource for homeschooling. I have provided links for information and websites that may be of interest to you. If you have any questions or any ideas you would like to see on this website, please contact me and I will consider each suggestion and answer any questions. I hope you find this website helpful and encouraging. ...but let us encourage one another,--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your forehead. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
